Commercial Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) rate the energy efficiency of a commercial property using a scale from A to G. The certificate provides a guide to the environmental impact of the building. Better-rated buildings should have less impact through reduced carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
You will be required by law to produce a Commercial Energy Performance Certificate when any commercial property is sold or there is a change of commercial lease holder on the property.
These can be produced by qualified individuals who are licensed by the government the same as Domestic Energy Assessors for the residential housing market.
Just like the residential market the government directly monitors both the quality of the report and the individual who completes them through a National Register.
